Ingredients

Each 1mL of Ear Drops Solution contains: Glacial Acetic Acid 17.3mg, Isopropyl Alcohol 634mg.

Contains: Sulfites

SUSTAINABILITY

Rating: Low to Moderate

  1. Glacial Acetic Acid: This is often derived synthetically or through fermentation. The synthetic production of acetic acid can involve petrochemical processes that contribute to pollution, though fermentation methods (such as from biomass) are more eco-friendly. Generally, acetic acid is biodegradable and has a low environmental persistence when used in small amounts.
  2. Isopropyl Alcohol: This is a petroleum-derived alcohol, typically produced through energy-intensive processes. While it has low environmental persistence and is relatively biodegradable, its manufacturing still relies on non-renewable resources. However, it is a common and effective ingredient in small amounts, such as in medical products.
  3. Sulfites: While effective as preservatives, sulfites are synthetic compounds with limited environmental impact due to their low quantities in these types of formulations. However, their use raises concerns around waste disposal, as some individuals have sulfite sensitivities, and overuse could contribute to pollution if not responsibly managed.
